Stories of Moving To

and

Living In Alaska

Welcome!

Alaska "The Last Frontier", "Land of the Midnight Sun" it has been called many things but I have never meet anyone who has ever been to Alaska that said they were sorry they ever went there. I will tell you it gets cold, I have seen it -50 degrees for more than two weeks straight one winter at our house and we lived in Anchorage one of the warmer parts of Alaska, I have seen it snow 21 inches in about 8 hours, and we already had 16 inches of snow on the ground, I went through the 1964 Earth Quake which was 9.2 on the Richter Scale the largest recorded Earth Quake on the Northern Hemisphere, I have been in muskeg (swamp) where the mosquitos were so thick you couldn't breath. And I will never say I didn't like Alaska, there is no other state like it.
